Happy Yogis EXTRA Adventures:

- Half an hour boat ride to Manukan island or other islands close to Borneo, where you can relax on the beach, swim or snorkel, water sport activities available.

- Wildlife tours to Sepilok, the largest orang utan rehabilitation center in the world,

- 2 nights safari, exploring of Sandakan island,

- Visiting Selingan (Turtle island) and observing the turtles on the beach with a ranger,

- Visiting the unique Malay fishing village and Buddhist Temple with a spectacular view of the town.

- Boat cruise in search of proboscis monkeys and other forms of wildlife in the jungles of Borneo.

- Wild safari to Sukau rainforest which is located on the lower Kinabatangan River and teeming with wildlife. The star attraction on this tour are the Proboscis Monkey. The river meanders through a flood plain creating numerous ox-bow lakes and an ideal enviroment for some of the best wildlife and birdlife in Malaysia. Prize sightings would include the Malayan sun bear, the worlds smallest bear, the clouded leopard, leopard cat, marbled cat, flat headed cat and hairy nosed otter.

Diving Tours - diving in Borneo is exquisite and you will be astounded by the volume of marine life, both corals invertebrates and fish.

Time to go to Borneo - Any time. Our retreats are all year round. The climate in Borneo is generally hot and humid throughout the year. Temperatures stay in the high 20's (Celsius) most of the year dropping back to the low 20's at night. As in most tropical areas the rain falls in short heavy bursts with sunshine following. In theory, the wet season runs from November through to February, but in reality there is little difference in the seasons - it tends to rain a fair bit at any time of the year. Sabah is famed for being below the monsoon belt and is known as being "the land below the wind".

Electricity provided on Borneo - 220volt - 250volt (50-60hz).
